The SMAS facelift, or SMAS rhytidectomy, is a facelift surgery that targets the lower two-thirds of the face. It can address excess fat, sagging skin, jowls and even loss of volume in the cheeks. "SMAS" refers to the "superficial muscular aponeurotic system", a layer of tissue deep within the subcutaneous skin (the deepest layer of skin). It is one of the most important parts of the face's structure.
The Deep Plane Facelift is Dr. Sadrian’s signature facelift to provide the most natural results for a more youthful and fresh appearing face and neck. Over the 20+ years in his practice, Dr. Sadrian has adapted, modified, and curated the most aesthetically pleasing attributes of a facelift in order to provide his signature approach for her patients to achieve: Lifted cheeks, Defined jawline, and smoother neck. This is a Limited Incision Vertical Trajectory Extended Deep Plane facelift- and is a facelift that is technically different than other facelifts because it is able to provide more natural results that are longer lasting.
For patients with less serious concerns, usually under the age of 45, we might use a “mini” facelift technique. By focusing on the central third of the face, the procedure is designed to correct sagging skin. A mini facelift is less invasive and typically involves shorter incisions.
